Johanna M. Bustter, DVM
Dr. Bustter is originally from Puerto Rico. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor degree of Animal Science in 1996 and then received her Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida in 2000.
Dr. Bustter then completed a medical and surgical internship at VCA Berwyn/Franklin Park in Chicago, Illinois in 2000 – 2001. She has been practicing veterinary medicine in the South Florida community for the past 20 years. In 2016, Dr. Bustter purchased Bow Meow Animal Hospital from the retiring Dr. Jaar. The hospital was then renamed to what is now know as Laguna Isles Animal Hospital.
Dr. Bustter has a special interest in Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, and Dentistry. Dr. Bustter was a guest columnist for the Our City Magazine Pembroke Pines edition were she wrote a monthly column about pet health. On her time off she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Henry who is a regular at the office. Dr. Bustter is an avid sports fan. She enjoys following the Dolphins, Miami Heat and Florida Gators.
Danielle Lewin, DVM
Dr. Lewin was born and raised in Pembroke Pines, Florida. She graduated from Pembroke Pines Charter High School in 2011 and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science from Florida A&M University in 2014. She obtained her doctorate veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota in 2019.
After graduation, she participated in a small animal rotating internship in a specialty practice in south Florida from 2019-2020. She currently practices in primary care medicine and part-time emergency medicine.
During her free time, Dr. Lewin enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She has two pets- a mini American Eskimo named Cloud and an orange tabby cat named Kratos.
