Johanna M. Bustter, DVM
Dr. Bustter is originally from Puerto Rico. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor degree of Animal Science in 1996 and then received her Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida in 2000.
Dr. Bustter then completed a medical and surgical internship at VCA Berwyn/Franklin Park in Chicago, Illinois in 2000 – 2001. She has been practicing veterinary medicine in the South Florida community for the past 17 years. In 2016, Dr. Bustter purchased Bow Meow Animal Hospital from the retiring Dr. Jaar. The hospital was then renamed to what is now know as Laguna Isles Animal Hospital.
Dr. Bustter has a special interest in Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery and Dentistry. Dr. Bustter is a guest columnist for the Our City Magazine Pembroke Pines edition. She writes a monthly column about pet health. On her time off she enjoys spending time with her family and her 2 dogs , RJ and Henry. Dr. Bustter is an avid sport fan. She enjoys following the Florida Gators.
Jesenia Carnero, DVM
Dr. Jesenia Carnero is a native of Miami. She graduated from Florida International University in 2001 with a degree in Biology. In 2005 she completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Ross University in St. Kitts & Nevis. She completed a rotating internship at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island from 2010-2011. She has been practicing veterinary medicine for 12 years in South Florida. Dr. Carnero has a special interest in veterinary neurology and emergency medicine.
She has a cat, Dusty and on her free time she enjoys marathon training and the sports scene in Miami including the Dolphins, Marlins and Canes.
